Welcome Letter
Greetings!
We are excited to announce the Micronutrient Forum’s 6th Global Conference (#MNF2023) will take place online and at the World Forum in The Hague, Netherlands, 16-20 October 2023 with a thematic focus on Nutrition for Resilience (N4R).
Following the success of the 2020 Connected Conference with over 3,500 global participants, our 6th Global Conference will be delivered as a hybrid event, allowing delegates the opportunity to attend either in-person or virtually. This conference will be our most affordable and accessible event ever.
The world is being confronted by multiple, complex, cascading challenges and shocks that impact on human well-being, including nutrition and micronutrient security such as climate change, ongoing food crises, COVID-19, and regional conflicts with far-reaching national and global consequences. These crises disproportionately affect women, due to existing gender power relations, and in turn affect malnutrition for women and children, with intergenerational consequences.
N4R will elevate and strengthen scientific understanding and policy dialogues on the inter-relationship between micronutrient status and resilience in the context of complex global challenges. The urgency to elevate and link micronutrient and resilience agendas across both humanitarian and development arenas has never been more critical to accelerate progress towards global nutrition goals and targets.
Along with this important thematic content, the conference will include our traditional four tracks, exploring the latest science across the micronutrient program lifecycle from biology through effectiveness and implementation to the enabling environment.
Our robust Scientific Program will include a mix of live, and on-demand sessions to allow both in-person and virtual delegates a chance to convene and engage directly with speakers and other attendees during the event, as well as having access to the recorded sessions after the in-person conference ends.
We are delighted to have you join us and look forward to increasing our collective knowledge on micronutrient and nutrition resilience and strengthening our collective advocacy and impact to improve nutrition throughout the globe!
See you in The Hague,
